(04) Values

Our editorial philosophy

Quality over quantity

Take your time. A single impactful article is worth dozens of mediocre ones.

Evidence over opinions

Back up your claims. Share the data, the studies, or the hard-earned personal experience.

Depth over trends

Avoid sensationalism. Go deeper than the headlines to provide lasting takeaways.

Evergreen over viral

We want pieces that are just as relevant a year from now as they are today.

Clarity over complexity

Use simple language to explain complex ideas. Accessible brilliance wins.

Learning over clicks

Respect the reader's time. Don't withhold the lesson for a long-winded opener.

Contributor Rights

Authors retain 100% full copyright of their work. We only require a non-exclusive publishing license.

To ensure factual perfection on the internet, we may edit submissions for grammar or clarity. For major changes, such as correcting false or outdated information; we will always notify your provided email before publishing.

You also retain the right to request modifications at any time, before or after publication. If our moderators update your live article, you keep full primary authorship, with only a brief update credit added for the editor.

(07) FAQ

Common Questions

Can beginners contribute?

Yes, absolutely. We evaluate the depth of the idea, not necessarily the depth of your writing resume.

Can I republish my work elsewhere?

Yes. You own your copyright and we only require a non-exclusive publishing license. If republishing, we simply request a canonical link back to the ReadRiff original.

Can I update my article after publication?

Yes, maintaining accuracy is important to us. Authors can email us to request corrections or updates.

Do you accept AI-assisted writing?

You may use AI for grammar corrections, outlining, and structuring. However, the core ideas, evidence, logic, and majority phrasing must be your own original thought.

How long does review take?

We typically review and respond to new submissions within 2 to 4 business days.

Can multiple authors collaborate?

Yes, co-authored pieces are welcome. We will credit all authors accordingly.

Do you edit grammar?

Yes. Our editorial review covers grammar, formatting, and clarity to ensure your piece is presented perfectly.

Can I submit a link instead of a file?

Yes, we prefer a draft link over direct file attachments. You can provide any link related to your draft or article submission (e.g. Google Docs, Notion, external writing platforms, etc.). Please ensure your sharing permissions are set to "Anyone with the link can view."

Do I lose copyright?

Never. You keep complete ownership and copyright of your work indefinitely.

Will my article be edited before or after publishing?

Yes. To maintain editorial perfection and ensure the absolute accuracy of information spread on the internet, ReadRiff may edit, change, or update your submitted content both before and after it is published. The primary author credit will always remain given to you, while a minor acknowledgment may be given to ReadRiff or the moderator who performed the update.

Will I be notified of my approval status or any major edits?

Yes. We will notify you via the email you provided regarding whether your initial submission has been approved or rejected. Furthermore, if any major changes—such as factual corrections or updates—are required before or after publication, we will always notify you via email.
